Implementation handoff
Production & Transition Architecture
Turn the assessment into an architecture your team can deliver.
Define the production target, component boundaries and transition sequence for a product that needs to mature without losing what already works.
What you receive
The result of this engagement.
The selected production and transition designs, with dependencies, decision rationale and an implementation handoff.
- The agreed target production architecture and component/data/interface designs.
- Migration and transition planning with dependencies and decision records.
- A build-ready handoff for the selected modules, including relevant backlog and operational design material.
When this helps
Recognize the situation.
- A product assessment has identified structural changes that need coherent design.
- A founder needs an implementation handoff for a growing team or delivery partner.
- The transition must preserve working capability while improving reliability and maintainability.
How the work unfolds
Evidence appropriate to the question.
Confirm the evidence baseline
Validate the decision, current architecture and findings that the design will address.
Define the target
Design the relevant components, data, APIs, security/operating boundaries and non-functional requirements.
Sequence the transition
Specify migration boundaries, decision records and an implementation backlog appropriate to the agreed design depth.
Implementation handoff
A handoff for the design modules you select
Your team receives the selected component, data, interface and operating designs, their rationale, transition dependencies and open decisions. The agreed modules—not the package name—determine handoff depth.
Engineering owns detailed estimates, implementation and tests. Existing adequate assessment or design evidence can be reused; engaging us for this work does not imply purchasing every blueprint module.
Scope & responsibility
Agree the depth. Keep the boundaries clear.
Scope of the engagement
The original package contains multiple design modules. We agree the artifact set and depth explicitly; a selected module does not imply the full blueprint.
Appropriate reliance
This is architecture design, distinct from a readiness assessment. Engineering, detailed delivery estimation, testing and operation remain with the client or partner.
The agreed engagement sets the coverage, deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fees. Changes to that scope are agreed explicitly.
Practical questions
Before engaging us.
Do you need to perform the readiness assessment first?
No. Adequate, current evidence can come from another source. Any missing baseline work is identified during scoping.

What is the decision you need to make?
Share the situation and the intended commitment. We will establish whether this scope fits.
