Software & AI architecture services

Govern.Preserve architecture integrity during delivery.

Keep material architecture decisions aligned with the agreed direction while teams implement software and AI solutions. A named principal provides continuing challenge, exception handling and escalation within agreed authority and capacity.

Typical decisions

Keep material architecture decisions aligned while delivery moves.

  • Multiple teams or suppliers make architecture decisions during implementation.
  • The client needs senior owner-side representation on significant technical choices.
  • An agreed architecture is drifting through local changes and delivery compromises.
  • AI-assisted engineering needs architecture guardrails and explicit review criteria.

  1. An agreed architecture baseline, decision rights, review cadence, capacity and response expectations.
  2. Decision and exception records with rationale, conditions and accountable actions.
  3. Risk-based checkpoints and architecture alignment or escalation summaries within the contracted scope.

How the work unfolds

A contribution with clear accountability.

01

Agree the authority

Establish the baseline, decision rights and interfaces with delivery leadership, including capacity and response expectations.

02

Review the material decisions

Challenge options and deviations, assess their consequences and involve the relevant owners or specialists.

03

Keep the decision record usable

Record accepted compromises, unresolved risks and escalations so that architecture intent remains explicit.

Choosing the contribution

Govern shapes decisions during delivery. Assure evaluates evidence at a defined gate.

Architecture governance provides continuing authority and challenge. Assurance is a separately agreed judgment against agreed criteria. If Sparkling has designed or governed the same work, that prior involvement is disclosed; a separately independent opinion may require another accountable reviewer.

Clear responsibilities. Sparkling owns the agreed architecture work. Client and partner teams implement and operate. Clients retain business, investment and acceptance decisions. Specialist participation, access, timing and fees are agreed for the scope.

Practical questions

Before engaging us for Govern.

Is this project or program management?

The engagement concerns architecture authority and technical decisions. Client and partner delivery leadership manages the implementation workforce, schedule and execution.

Can governance be arranged directly?

Yes, with an adequate baseline and onboarding. It does not require a prior Sparkling design or assessment engagement.

Does a retainer mean unlimited availability?

Capacity, cadence, response expectations and exclusions are agreed explicitly. A retainer is the commercial format for that defined contribution.

What does your decision need?

Describe the situation, timing and intended outcome. We can agree the right depth and contribution.
