Deeper assessment

Architecture Diagnostic

Find the causes behind the architecture concerns.

A deeper assessment of an existing system or technical landscape, connecting interacting risks, capability gaps and architecture decisions to a credible direction.

Most clients start with Production Readiness Assessment.

What you receive

The result of this engagement.

  1. An integrated current-state architecture assessment and risk register.
  2. Evidence-backed diagnosis of the interacting constraints and capability gaps.
  3. Target-state direction and a prioritised response roadmap with assumptions and dependencies.

When this helps

Recognise the situation.

  • Several concerns cut across components, data, integration, operations or team boundaries.
  • You have symptoms and competing explanations but no integrated diagnosis.
  • Leadership needs a defensible current-state view and target-state direction.

How it works

Evidence appropriate to the question.

Establish the decision context

Agree business outcomes, system boundaries, evidence sources and the concerns that require investigation.

Investigate across the system

Review relevant architecture, code, data flows, integrations, operating evidence and what people know; test competing explanations.

Integrate the findings

Connect root causes and dependencies, compare response options and establish a prioritised architecture direction.

Scope & responsibility

Agree the scope and depth. Keep the boundaries clear.

Scope of the engagement

This is a purchased integrated assessment. Its depth depends on system complexity, access and the decision. It is distinct from a short Peer Review and from detailed target architecture design.

Limits of reliance

The agreed assessment boundary governs coverage. Detailed implementation planning, specialist testing, legal conclusions and delivery execution are separately scoped.

Who does what. A named senior architect leads the work, checks what our tools find and owns the integrated recommendation. Specialists in security, data, platforms, integration or AI governance join where agreed. Your teams and partners build and run the system. You keep the final business and acceptance decisions.

The agreed scope of the engagement sets the coverage, deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fixed fee. Any change to the scope is agreed in writing.

Questions

Before you book.

Must we buy Peer Review first?

No. An existing diagnosis or a sufficiently clear problem statement can support a direct Diagnostic engagement.

Does this include a complete implementation blueprint?

It includes the agreed architecture direction and roadmap. Detailed solution or transition design is a separate scope when needed.

What's the decision in front of you?
