Deeper assessment

Architecture Diagnostic

Find the causes behind the architecture concerns.

A deeper assessment of an existing system or technical landscape, connecting interacting risks, capability gaps and architecture decisions to a credible direction.

What you receive

The result of this engagement.

  1. An integrated current-state architecture assessment and material risk register.
  2. Evidence-backed diagnosis of the interacting constraints and capability gaps.
  3. Target-state direction and a prioritized response roadmap with assumptions and dependencies.

When this helps

Recognize the situation.

  • Several concerns cut across components, data, integration, operations or team boundaries.
  • You have symptoms and competing explanations but no integrated diagnosis.
  • Leadership needs a defensible current-state view and target-state direction.

How the work unfolds

Evidence appropriate to the question.

01

Establish the decision context

Agree business outcomes, system boundaries, evidence sources and the concerns that require investigation.

02

Investigate across the system

Review relevant architecture, code, data flows, integrations, operating evidence and stakeholder knowledge; test competing explanations.

03

Integrate the findings

Connect root causes and dependencies, compare response options and establish a prioritized architecture direction.

Scope & responsibility

Agree the depth. Keep the boundaries clear.

Scope of the engagement

This is a purchased integrated assessment. Its depth depends on system complexity, access and the decision. It is distinct from a short Peer Review and from detailed target architecture design.

Appropriate reliance

The agreed assessment boundary governs coverage. Detailed implementation planning, specialist testing, legal conclusions and delivery execution are separately scoped.

One accountable principal. The named architect directs the work and owns the integrated recommendation. Relevant specialists contribute where agreed. Client and partner teams implement and operate; clients retain final business and acceptance decisions.

The agreed engagement sets the coverage, deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fees. Changes to that scope are agreed explicitly.

Practical questions

Before engaging us.

Must we buy Peer Review first?

No. An existing diagnosis or a sufficiently clear brief can support a direct Diagnostic engagement.

Does this include a complete implementation blueprint?

It includes the agreed architecture direction and roadmap. Detailed solution or transition design is a separate scope when needed.

What is the decision you need to make?

Share the situation and the intended commitment. We will establish whether this scope fits.
